How to Install Social Deals Engine Plugin, Manually

Minimum Requirements

• WordPress 3.5 or greater
• PHP version 5.2.4 or greater
• MySQL version 5.0 or greater

Automatic Installation

This is the easiest way to install the Social Deals plugin, since WordPress handles all the upload and you don’t need to use any extra application to do it.

1. Login to your WordPress site and go to Plugins > Add New
2. At the Install Plugins Page enter “Social Deals Engine” into the search box and click on “Search Plugins” or hit Enter
3. Select the Social Deals Engine Plugin, click either on “Details” or “Install Now”
4. Wait until WordPress installed the plugin. After it’s done, click on “Activate Plugin”
5. Now you should see a message “Plugin activated” at the top of the window
6. After you successfully installed the plugin you will see a new Admin Menu on the left hand side. It’s called “Deals”
7. Click on the Settings submenu to get to the plugin’s settings page configure the plugin for your needs

Manual Installation

The manual installation requires you to download the plugin from WordPress.org and uploading it to your webserver using your favorite FTP application.

1. Download the Social Deals Plugin
2. Unzip the file and upload the deals-engine folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory using your FTP application
3. Activate the Social Deals Engine plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
4. Configure the plugin by going to the Deals > Settings within WordPress admin.
